Doras is a post-school training service for people who are over 18 years of age. Doras supports young adults to get the skills they need to work. Doras offers job shadowing. Job shadowing is when you watch someone do their job and learn more about that job. Doras also offers work experience. People attending Doras have the choice to complete different types of training programmes. The training programme at Doras Training Services is for 3 years.
An Tuath Nua is a training centre in Montenotte, Cork. This training centre provides training to people aged 18 to 21 years old. This training centre is for people with a diagnosis of autism and an intellectual disability. An Tuath Nua offers training in many different things, such as social skills training, computer literacy, community integration, personal care programs, sensory development, and numeracy and literacy programmes. Programmes are made to fit each person’s needs. These training programmes support people to become more independent in everyday life and active members of our community.
NASC is a post-school training centre for people who have high support needs. A small group of trainees attend to build on what they have learned in school. NASC offers training in many different things. These include computer skills, cookery, language and communication, independent living skills, maths, arts and crafts.
